Something good about April

So now that your socks are done and keeping your toes warm (how is my heating bill over $160 if my feet are perpetually frozen?), let's discuss business. The business we will be discussing is A FREE GIVEAWAY!!! Do I have your attention and/or curiosity (but preferably both)? Excellent. Because this is a good one, people. Seriously. And so damn easy, to boot.

In honor of us having just made some socks, my beloved Craftsy is offering a free Knit Sock Workshop. All you have to do is click this link right here, and poof, you're entered into the drawing! This will be running all month, so plenty of time to get entered, but why not do it now? That link will also take you right to Craftsy, where you can sign up for free to become a member and have access to a ton of awesome things, like classes and patterns--and so many free ones of both. What's even more awesome is that the classes don't expire! So I can sit down with my future Boston Mini and teach the Mini the same things I've learned....like entrelac, which is not nearly as complicated as it seems. And holy shit, that entrelac class is on sale right now, so if you'd be interested you can sign up here!

Now, as added incentive for having done a KAL with me, I'm also offering an extra entry into the giveaway. All I ask for is proof of your new socks. You can either comment here with a link to your Ravelry project page, or add a picture to the discussion board (right now I'm mostly talking to myself on that one), because there is one of those things in my Rav group (you should totally join, if you haven't already. And introduce yourself in the Meet & Greet thread).

This giveaway is running the entire month of April, so tell your friends, tell your friends' friends, tell everyone...because it's fun to win, but it's more fun to beat out a shit-ton of people for the prize.

Also please point me in the direction of a sock pattern for another KAL, the prize of which will be something from my stash...not that I've picked something out yet, but I'll find a prize once we all agree on a pattern.
Disclosure: bold links are affiliate links to Craftsy, meaning if you sign up for a Craftsy account or class, I will be compensated financially. Like, a dollar, if you sign up for an account and I think 30% of the sale if you buy yarn. But at least it's good yarn.

  1. Cool! I didn't knit and I don't have time to take a class, but I think it's such a great idea!

    1. You should still enter! The class will never expire, so you can totally go at your own pace. That also means you can skip right over all the parts you already know, which is nice for when you're looking to just get down to the fancy stuff.
